可能有地震但无需惊慌
上周五“世界地球日”，佛山市地震局举行了市民见面日活动。参加活动的市民仅3成左右知道震级和烈度之间区别。
佛山市地震局相关负责人昨天告知记者，鉴于佛山地质结构复杂，早已被列为国家级地震重点监视防御区，实际上，市地震局每天都监测到很多次2 级以下地震，只不过普通市民很难从体感获知。“3月底三水发生了2.0级地震，从地质结构和历史情况看，虽然佛山有存在发生5级左右地震几率，但是全市目 前房屋普遍能抗7度地震(相当于5.5级地震)。鉴于地震预报仍是国际难题，需要政府有关部门完善必要环节，比如提高建筑的抗震性、设立指定避难场所 等。”
